Whilst in his art gallery situated on the lakefront of Lake Te Anau Gordon wrote his feelings and thoughts with paint and a paint brush. This composition was done while he was ill and illustrates the sensitivity, tranquility and elite precision that he becomes when airborne. This painting shows Gordons peacefulness, and contentment whilst a pilot, in the sky as shown by the gentle mood of the cloud formations. At the time of performing this work this "diary entry" shows his intended future, as he achieved.
